Description
An exceptionally cold hardy and drought tolerant Sedum that boasts three foliage colors on the same plant, Tricolor Sedum is a fast growing spreading succulent excellent for garden beds or in containers. A fast grower to 4 inches tall and a couple feet wide that thrives in poor soils even when neglected, Tricolor Sedum shows off a carpet of green leaves edged in creamy white with splashed of pink during the cool season. Abundant clusters of pink star-shaped flowers appear above the foliage in spring attracting butterflies and other pollinators. Excellent as a border or groundcover or in containers where its trailing foliage serves as a soil cover and spiller.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 3 to 4 inches tall and spreading 18 inches or more wide, the Tricolor Sedum is ideal for use as a groundcover plant or as a border along walkways and paths or around patios. Very nice around rocks and boulders or spilling over walls. Also serves nicely as a soil cover or spiller plant in container gardens. A fine addition to rock gardens and succulent gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 12 to 15 inches apart for mass planting
