Description

A dazzling focal point specimen in the landscape, the Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar Tree, also known as the Cedar of Lebanon, is an evergreen conifer prized for its graceful limbs that cascade and rain down to the ground. The branches are densely covered with attractive powder blue needles that provide a cool effect in the landscape. In a class by itself, this stunning conifer brings charismatic personality and movement to any landscape it inhabits.

Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing slowly to about 10 to 15 feet tall (or taller with staking) and equally as wide,  the Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar is ideal for use as a focal point specimen in sunny areas or as espalier against a an open wall. A fine addition to rock gardens, conifer gardens, wildlife gardens, and Xeriscape gardens (low water needs).

Growing Preferences

The Blue Atlas Cedar is very easy to grow in most any average soil that is well-drained and full to mostly sun. Standing water or constantly soggy or wet soil can be problematic. No pruning required though stray branches can be removed for shaping purposes. Exceptionally drought tolerant when established. We've seen no insect or disease problems.
