Description

A handsome and tough groundcover plant excellent for use to quickly cover embankments, slopes and hillsides, the ‘Blue Pacific’ Juniper is an improvement over Shore Juniper with better blue foliage, lower growth habit, denser foliage along the branches and is known to hold up better during winter. Aromatic, blue-green needles (to 5/8” long) appear in groups of three along the trailing branches forming a dense, erosion controlling carpet wherever it grows.

Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing 8 to 10 inches tall and spreading relatively quickly up to 12 feet wide, Blue Pacific Juniper is ideal for use in mass plantings for erosion control on sunny embankments, hillsides and slopes or as a border in landscape beds and islands. It also spills over walls and is a great choice to underplant small trees such as Japanese Maple and Crape Myrtle. Excellent Xeriscape plant (low water needs).

Suggested Spacing:  3 to 5 feet apart for mass plantings
