The Butterfly Kisses Coneflower is an absolutely adorable variety in the Cone-Fections Echinacea series. It features abundant double flowers from late spring through summer above a mound of clean, dark green foliage. The eye-catching flower has a pom pom of rose-pink petals surrounded by a skirt of lighter, bright pink petals. The flowers are perched atop sturdy stems that rise well above the foliage mound and are excellent for cutting and use in fresh or dried flower arrangements. Reaching maybe 18 inches tall in bloom and nearly as wide, Buttefly Kisses is a fine accent in smaller garden spaces and containers or grouped where space allows. Drought, deer, heat, humidity, poor soil tolerance, and a bright show of color throughout the summer, what more can we and the butterflies and hummingbirds ask for?

The Butterfly Kisses Coneflower is very easy to grow. It is a highly adaptable plant that is tolerant of drought, heat, humidity, and poor soil. It will grow in most moist but well-drained soils of average fertility. It flowers best in full sun but also does well and blooms in part shade. We recommend at least 5 hours of direct sunlight per day. Spent flowers can be removed through the long bloom season. That said, towards the end of the bloom season, we always leave some spent flowers/seed heads on the plant for winter interest and to feed the birds.
