Description

Unique in that it reblooms, 'Butterscotch' Yellow Jessamine, also called Jasmine, produces LOADS of fragrant, bright golden-yellow funnel shaped flowers in late winter to early spring and then again in fall! This cultivar flowers about 3 weeks later than Carolina Jasmine. The flowers contrast nicely with the shiny, dark green evergreen leaves that cover its dense, twining stems.

Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing 12 feet in length and 2 to 4 feet wide, Butterscotch Jessamine is ideal for use to climb along the top of fences, on a trellis, on a mailbox, over a pergola or arbor or any other structure that might benefit from or support the vine. Jessamine can also be useful as a ground cover for slopes or banks where it can sprawl and naturalize or to climb into smaller trees where early flowering is especially noticeable. A fine addition to fragrance gardens, yellow theme gardens,

Suggested Spacing:  3 to 6 feet apart on fences

Growing Preferences

Butterscotch Jessamine is very easy to grow and tolerates a wide range of soils, even somewhat boggy soils, however is drought tolerant when established. It prefers a consistently moist well-drained soil of average fertility. We have it growing in sunny and partially shaded sites and it does equally as well in both exposures.
