We've grown a wide variety of Heuchera plants in our gardens over the years, and 'Citronelle' is one that stands out among the best. Citronelle is vigorous, sturdy, and long-lived, forming a clump featuring lobed, maple-like leaves that emerge vibrant yellow and remain yellow with hues of green to chartreuse in more shade. Small, creamy-white flowers atop thin stems rise 8 to 12 inches above the foliage mound in midsummer. The Heuchera villosa bloodlines in this hybrid contribute a velvety leaf surface, later flowering habit, and exceptional heat and humidity tolerance. 

Growing in a mound to about 6 to 8 inches tall and 14-18 inches wide, Citronelle Heuchera is ideal for use as an accent in smaller garden spaces and container gardens. Where space allows, it is stunning in groupings or mass plantings. It is a fine addition to Heuchera gardens, woodland gardens, rock gardens, yellow-themed gardens, and perennial shade gardens.
