An enchanting and majestic English Shrub Rose that was bred by David Austin in 2022 to mark the celebrations of the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in February. Highly valued for its health and versatility, beginning in spring and reblooming throughout the season to first frost, Elizabeth displays abundant clusters of delightful rosettes with up to 100 petals in the softest apple blossom pink with glowing golden centers eventually aging to a very gentle white. The 90-petaled blooms exude a strong, sweet Old Rose fragrance with hints of lemon sherbet become sweeter as they age. Forming a strong, shapely and commanding shrub to 4.5 feet tall and equally as wide, Elizabeth is a good fit for small garden spaces and containers that can be situated on or around patios and other outdoor sitting areas where the pretty flowers and wonderful fragrance can be enjoyed from close up, or as a hedge or grouping in larger borders. 

Growing 4.5 feet tall and equally as wide, the Elizabeth English Shrub Rose is ideal for use as an accent, in groupings or as a hedge in sunny to partially shaded borders and garden beds. Her smaller stature makes for a good fit in containers that can be situated on or around patios, decks and other outdoor sitting and living spaces. A fine addition to cottage gardens, pink or white theme gardens, antique and old-fashioned gardens, and fragrance and sensory gardens.

The Elizabeth English Shrub Rose is easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average or better fertility and full sun or partial shade for the best flowering. As with all other roses, morning sun is a must to dry dew from the leaves, however this one will do fine with some filtered sun during the afternoon hours. Flowering will be best if the plant receives at least 5 hours of direct sun during the day.
