Description
This is the single-trunk tree-form version of the Flowerfesta Pink Lilac, an excellent, reblooming dwarf. It features a tall single-trunk with a rounded canopy covered in large clusters of intoxicatingly fragrant bubblegum-pink flowers in late spring to early summer, with a reliable rebloom in fall. At 8 to 10 feet tall with a canopy about 4 feet by 4 feet, this tree form is a fine focal point specimen near patios, porches, decks, or other outdoor sitting and living spaces where the beautiful flowers and wonderful aroma can be enjoyed up close. Two can be used to frame an entrance.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 9 to 10 feet tall with a canopy about 4 feet by 4 feet, the Flowerfesta Pink Lilac Tree is ideal for use as a specimen or two can be used to frame an entrance. Perfect near patios, decks, porches, and other outdoor sitting and living spaces where the flowers and fragrance can be enjoyed from close up. A fine addition to fragrance and sensory gardens, cut flower gardens, cottage gardens, cut flower gardens, pollinator gardens, or pink theme gardens.
Suggested Spacing: Best as a specimen or use two to frame an entrance
Growing Preferences
Plant your Flowerfewsta Pink Lilac Tree in full sun to light shade. The more sun, the more flowers. This selection should do fine in Zone 8, where summers are cooler. It likes moist but well-drained soil with a pH close to neutral (6.5 to 7.5). Add pelletized lime if your soil is extremely acidic. Fertilize annually in early spring with a light application of organic plant food or slow-release shrub and tree fertilizer. Prune as desired for shaping purposes or size control after spring bloom.
