'Fry' is the standard in muscadines and one of if not the best for fresh eating. A very vigorous vine with high fruit yields throughout the season and excellent heat and cold hardiness and resistance to diseases and drought, the Fry Muscadine produces large, super sweet grapes of 21% sugar content with excellent quality and taste, and the skin is edible. A unique quality of the Fry muscadine is that it ripens from mid to late season over a prolong period of time of about 6 weeks, which makes it an excellent selection for you-pick operations and commercial sales.

NOTE: As with all of our other plants and trees, all of our fruit plants are grown in containers outdoors so they are fully rooted and landscape-ready upon arrival.

Muscadine vines can grow in a wide range of soils. Highly fertile soils are not essential. Well-drained soils produce the best growth and yields. Avoid soils that are persistently wet during the growing season. The best and most muscadine berries will be produced when vines are growing in full to mostly sun. That said, muscadine vines that receive a little shade will still produce good crops.
