Golden Celebration is one of the largest-flowered English Roses. It was released by David Austin in 1992 and is still as popular as ever. It was named after its rich yellow blooms resembling giant cups. Fully double blooms, exuding a strong, heavenly Tea fragrance with notes of strawberry and Sauternes wine, come in waves from spring to frost held in abundant clusters on long, arching stems. Each beautiful bloom has an outer ring of petals surrounding an informal group of inner petals, making them excellent for cutting and displaying in a vase or floral arrangement. Very hardy, handling the cold, heat, and humidity in USDA Zones 5 through 11, Golden Celebration forms a bushy, nicely rounded arching shrub that is 4.5 feet tall and equally as wide, which makes for a good fit in sunny to partially shaded smaller garden beds, or in containers that can be situated on or around patios and other outdoor sitting areas where the sunny flowers and wonderful fragrance can be enjoyed from close up.

Growing to 4.5 feet tall and equally as wide, the Golden Celebration English Shrub Rose is ideal for use as an accent, in groupings, or as a hedge in sunny to partially shaded borders. Its smaller stature makes it a good fit in containers that can be situated on or around patios, decks, and other outdoor sitting and living spaces. It is a fine addition to cottage gardens, yellow theme gardens, cutting gardens, antique and old-fashioned gardens, and fragrance and sensory gardens.

The Golden Celebration English Shrub Rose is easy to grow in moist but well-drained soils with average or above-average fertility and full sun to part shade for the best flowering. As with all other roses, the morning sun is a must to dry dew from the leaves. Flowering will be best if the plant receives at least 5 hours of direct sun during the day.
