Description

This is the tree form version of the ever-popular Iceberg Rose. Extremely disease resistant and vigorous and floriferous, 'Iceberg' is a floribunda Rose that aims to please. From spring to frost this beauty lights up the garden with profuse clusters of honey-scented, 3 to 4 inch diameter double white blooms with up to 15 blooms per spray! A bushy rose with a rounded form and glossy, light-green foliage makes for a stunning accent tree or use two to frame an entryway. A very easy care rose that is nearly thornless.

Landscape & Garden Uses

The Iceberg Rose Tree is ideal for use as a specimen, or use two to frame an entryway. Excellent in pots or garden beds and home foundation plantings. A fine addition to fragrance gardens, white them gardens, rose gardens, cottage gardens and container gardens.

Suggested Spacing: Best as a specimen or use two to frame an entryway.

Growing Preferences

The Iceberg Rose is easy to grow in average, moist but well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. As with all other roses, to avoid powdery mildew, morning sun is a must to dry dew from the leaves. Afternoon shade or filtered sun is fine. We suggest 6 hours of direct sun light for best flowering.

Maintenance is minimal with no pruning required, though the plant can benefit from it. An annual pruning in late winter, at which time branches can be cut back to about 18 inches in height, will result in a fuller bush throughout the growing season. After this hard pruning, your rose will quickly flush out and start blooming with the arrival of warmer spring temperatures. Deadheading spent flowers through the season is not necessary however will encourage more new buds and flowers.
