This is the distinctive, single-trunk tree form version of the Lunar Magic Crape Myrtle, an exciting new hybrid that has some of the largest flower clusters we've seen on any of the dark-leaved varieties. Lunar Magic combines abundant pristine white flowers with rich, deep purple leaves for an absolutely stunning contrast. Abundant clusters of red flower buds begin to appear in late spring that open to pristine white flowers by early summer continuing through late summer. If the spent flowers are deadheaded after the first bloom cycle, this beauty will rebloom through fall. The leaves maintain their dark color throughout the season until dropping in late fall or early winter. As a shrub, Lunar Magic grows 7 to 9 feet tall and 5 to 7 feet wide, but this single-trunk tree form version will reach 10 to 12 feet in height - the perfect size flowering tree for any size landscape or in containers.
