Growing 30 to 35 feet tall and 15 to 20 feet wide, Mystic Ruby Buckeye is ideal for use as a focal point specimen or in groupings where space allows. It provides beauty and shade around patios and other outdoor sitting and living spaces and can also be used to frame the corners of tall homes and other buildings. It is a fine addition to North American native plant gardens, pollinator gardens, woodland gardens, red-theme gardens, and butterfly and hummingbirds gardens.

Suggested Spacing:  25+ feet apart for space between plants

The Mystic Ruby Buckeye is easy to grow and virtually maintenance-free when planted right and in the right spot. It grows best in consistently moist, well-drained soil of average to high fertility and sun or part sun. Though it will tolerate short periods of drought when established, it will appreciate supplemental water during prolonged periods of summer drought and dry conditions. We suggest five or more hours of direct sunlight daily for the best flowering, foliage color, and overall performance.
