Pinus strobus 'Niagara Falls' - North American Native Plant

Pinus strobus 'Niagara Falls' is a striking selection of our native Eastern White that can be left alone to grow naturally as a graceful weeping shrub or staked to form a magnificent weeping tree with a leader that weeps over at the top of the stake and secondary branches that flow downwards like Niagara Falls for a full and lush structure. The height of the stake, which can be anywhere from 6 to 12 feet or tall, will determine how tall it grows over time. In its natural shrub form, Niagara Falls makes for a nice specimen in landscape borders and rock gardens or to spill over walls and boulders. As a tree, it serves as a focal point specimen in the landscape or home foundation plantings. Either way, clothed in long blue-green needles, this graceful beauty provides elegance and style that will not go unnoticed.  

Niagara Falls Weeping Eastern White Pine can be grown as a broad, pendulous shrub or as an upright, strongly weeping tree. A staked specimen is a graceful focal point where space is more limited in landscape borders, home foundation plantings, and rock gardens. When left to grow naturally, it is perfect for cascading over walls and large boulders or on an embankment, hillside, or slope. It is a fine addition to conifer gardens, native gardens, and the Xeriscape (low water needs).
