Perkins Pink American Yellowwood Tree - 7 Gallon Pot
Description
Spacing: 50' for space between trees
Growing 30 to 45 feet tall and 40 to 45 feet wide, the Perkins Pink American Yellowwood tree is ideal for use as a specimen or in groupings in sunny to partially shaded landscape and woodland borders. Very nice around patios, decks, and other outdoor sitting and living spaces, where it will provide welcome shade during the hot summer months. It is a fine addition to shade gardens, children's gardens, recreational areas, bird gardens, beneficial pollinator gardens, sunny and partially shaded woodland gardens, fragrance gardens, native plant gardens, cottage gardens, and white theme gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 50 feet or more apart for space between tees
The Perkins Pink American Yellowwood Tree is easy to grow in moist, well-draining soil with average or better fertility, and prefers full sun to part shade. Six or more hours of sunlight daily is suggested. It has a deep root system, making it drought-tolerant once established. It is not particular about soil pH. It prefers a site where it won't be exposed to high winds. No pruning is necessary; however, it can be done during the summer for shaping purposes or to remove lower branches, thereby exposing more of the trunk. Dead or damaged branches can be removed at any time of year.
