It can be grown in the ground or containers and might require two light trimmings per year to maintain its spiral form.

Growing Preferences
The Spartan Juniper is easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained to somewhat dry soil and full sun to mostly sun. It will require two or more trimmings per year to maintain a tight spiral form. We prune ours in the nursery twice per year.
