Extremely prolific and showy, the Sunny Robyn Oriental Lily features intoxicatingly fragrant, large, star-shaped flowers with dark pink petals with a soft pink margin and contrasting maroon spots. Depending on the location and climate, the flowers come in early to midsummer and can continue through late summer. It is a captivating lily that will also grab the attention of butterflies and hummingbirds, who will appreciate the nectar-rich flowers. The numerous blooms (5 buds per stem) are held atop upright, sturdy stems that rise to 3 feet high, densely clothed in rich, dark green leaves. Enjoy Sunny Robyn as an accent in smaller garden spaces or containers, or in stunning groupings where space will allow. Every year, these lilies will return twice the size and with twice as many blooms as the year before. It is one of those flowering beauties that will always have you looking forward to summer in the garden. Growing Preferences
The Sunny Robyn Oriental Lily prefers moist, well-drained, acidic soil and full sun to light shade. For best flowering, 5 hours of direct sunlight daily is suggested. Constantly soggy soils can cause root rot. When all the leaves have turned yellow in late fall or winter, the stems can be cut back to a few inches or so above the ground. We usually wait to cut them back until late winter, when we're pruning many other plants in the garden.
